Part-Time Retail Associate

Position Status: Part-Time Hourly Rate: $15.00 Location: 2250 N Henderson ST, Galesburg, IL 61401 Overview The Retail Associate assists the store management team in reaching operational goals by performing a variety of roles within the retail location. Key job titles the Associate may be called upon to learn and work include Cashier, Textiles or Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, eCommerce Producer, e-Books Producer, and Rack or Cart Runner. Responsibilities Cashier: Rings up orders, maintains a balanced drawer, follows cash handling procedures, provides general information about Goodwill programs, directs higher‑level questions, and maintains sales floor cleanliness. Textiles or Wares Producer: Sorts product for quality, cleans, tags, and hangs textiles or wares; produces 100 items per hour for wares or 85 for textiles while updating daily production tracking; uses pallet jack and conveyor belt as needed. Donation Door Attendant: Accepts donations, maintains a clean donation area, sorts products, organizes backroom, loads/unloads trucks, and operates heavy equipment such as pallet jack, double stacker, floor scrubber, and hydraulic lift. eCommerce Producer: Identifies valuable items for ClickGoodwill, monitors market value, tags and secures items, packs and ships totes, and educates team on eCommerce high‑ticket items. e-Books Producer: Scans books, decides distribution to ClickGoodwill or store display, prints inventory sheets, and handles packing and shipping of totes. Rack and Cart Runner: Checks racks/carts for quality, sizes, merchandises, and purges sales floor; maintains clean sales floor, organizes carts, stocks shelves, and runs one textile rack/wares cart every 15 minutes. Required Competencies Degree and Credential Requirements: None required; demonstrate capability and prior experience.
