Your responsibilities include demonstrating outstanding customer service and selling skills, continuously learning about the coatings industry, keeping the sales floor stocked with merchandise, organizing the sales floor and stock areas, acting as a role model for Store Sales Associates, and building trusted partnerships with painting professionals. Lead Sales Associates interact with customers via phone and in‑person to offer expert advice, while processing and completing transactions. They uphold Dunn‑Edwards’ store vision of fast and reliable service, ensuring the store is well stocked and maintained. They learn about the industry, products and services through the Dunn‑Edwards Learning Network and various job certification programs, helping them answer questions and make proper recommendations and build a foundation for potential advancement opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Make a connection with customers, ask questions about their project, and give options and advice on meeting those needs. Ensure delivery of product meets both Dunn‑Edwards’ and customers’ quality and service expectations. Conduct self in a professional manner—always acting as a positive extension of the Dunn‑Edwards brand. Efficiently take customer orders through email, phone, or in‑person and process through point‑of‑sale. Adhere to company safety standards at all times. Clean and maintain all areas of the store and equipment as assigned. Assist with maintaining proper merchandise inventory levels. Communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms. Stock and merchandise products according to planogram. Drive store improvements in key performance metrics. Operate company vehicle for store business. Meet expectations of core competencies: Customer Focus, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving, Initiative, and Teamwork. Perform additional duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities There are no subordinate supervisors reporting to this position. Language Skills Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; read and write English for safety purposes. Bilingual is a plus. Mathematical Skills Add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure; compute percentages and analyze report data and statistics; operate point‑of‑sale computer system and complete cash transactions accurately. Reasoning Ability Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations A valid driver’s license is required.
