Securities & Trade Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Securities & Trade Operations Specialist to join our back-office operations team. This position will be responsible for the processing, settlement, reconciliation, and operational support of securities, foreign exchange, money market, and derivative transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience within a bank, broker-dealer, custodian, or financial institution and possess a strong understanding of trade operations, cash management, wire payments, and securities processing. Key Responsibilities Process and support securities transactions, including equities, fixed income/bonds, mutual funds, options, and other investment products. Process Interest Rate Swap transactions and related operational activities. Process Money Market (MMK), Foreign Exchange (FX), and Non-Deliverable Forward (NDF) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement. Manage daily cash management and funding activities for correspondent banking and custody cash accounts. Process securities and custody-related payments through SWIFT and Fedwire, ensuring proper authorization, accuracy, and settlement. Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash, correspondent, securities, and custody accounts; research and resolve discrepancies and breaks. Monitor trade settlements and investigate failed or unmatched transactions with counterparties, custodians, and internal departments. Process journal entries and securities position movements, including take-ons/take-offs resulting from internal and external transfers of assets. Process cash entries and adjustments. Maintain accurate transaction records and supporting documentation in accordance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal teams, custodians, counterparties, and correspondent banks to resolve trade, cash, payment, and settlement issues. Provide operational and project support to the SVP and Back Office Department as needed. Assist with special projects, audits, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned by department management. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in securities operations, trade operations, investment operations, treasury operations, custody operations, or banking back-office operations preferred. Experience processing securities such as equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and/or options. Knowledge of FX, money markets, NDFs, and interest rate swaps is highly preferred. Experience with SWIFT and/or Fedwire payment processing. Strong understanding of trade settlement, cash management, account reconciliation, and securities transfers. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve reconciliation and settlement discrepancies. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
