Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Columbia, SC | Free Standing Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Mid-Shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, free-standing emergency room setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Assess, triage, and manage emergency patients across a 14-room department including a resuscitation room
• Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Epic EMR
• Participate in emergency response team duties during hurricane season (June through November) as required
• Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including every-other-weekend coverage and holiday availability

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
• ACLS , BLS , PALS , and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be prioritized; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a free-standing or community-based emergency room environment
• Familiarity with resuscitation room protocols and high-acuity emergency care
• Flexibility with scheduling, including block schedule requests (subject to facility approval)
