Respiratory Therapist I

Role Overview The Respiratory Therapist I provides comprehensive respiratory care for patients across all age groups, including adult, geriatric, and pediatrics. Responsibilities include ventilator management, lung expansion therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, arterial blood gas analysis, non-invasive monitoring, bronchial hygiene, and assisting with bronchoscopy procedures. The role emphasizes infection control, quality assessment, and independent critical thinking to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Registered Respiratory Therapist and licensed in Ohio BLS and ACLS certification Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program (associate degree or higher) One year of practice preferred Strong clinical, analytical, and critical thinking skills Ability to operate medical gas systems, ventilators, and non-invasive ventilation systems Experience with arterial blood gases and non-invasive monitoring Capable of adhering to infection control procedures and utilizing therapist-driven protocols #J-18808-Ljbffr
