Registered Nurse

This position involves providing care on a general medical surgical and telemetry unit. You will care for patients with various diagnoses including orthopedic cases, pulmonary issues, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses. Travelers will float within scope to meet facility needs, potentially to other units. Ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with a possibility of 1:7 night ratios depending on staffing. Weekend shifts will be required, with a total of four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. This facility is a nicotine-free environment. Candidates must demonstrate skills in managing IVs, telemetry monitoring, and care for patients with complex medical needs. Travelers will also participate in mandatory training for safety and de-escalation. Behavioral health experience in an acute care setting is preferred. The unit has both medical and surgical beds and serves a diverse patient population.
