Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerEverett, Washington, United StatesPosition ID: P-759856Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-10-12$2,090.36/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity Level II Trauma Center MICU, requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and a WA or compact RN license in hand.DetailsWork in a high-acuity, fast-paced Medical ICU at a Level II Trauma CenterCare for medically complex, critically ill patients with respiratory failure, cardiac arrest with TTM, multisystem organ failure, various shock states, CVA post tPA, COVID, ARDS, DKA, and ETOH withdrawalStandard patient ratio is 2:1, potentially increasing to 4:1 for boarders awaiting inpatient transfer1 CNA per shift for supportFrequent procedures include bedside central and arterial line placements, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, para/thoracentesis, and code blue responseDay shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)Weekend work requiredFloating required, including potential float down to telemetry units and to sister facilities within the stateUses EPIC EMR systemRequirementsActive WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submissionCurrent certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS2 hours of stroke-specific education required annuallyAt least 1 year of ICU experience requiredPrior experience with 1:2-3 patient ratiosTrauma Level II hospital experience requiredTeaching hospital experience preferredEPIC charting experience requiredSkills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, CVA/acute stroke management, and multisystem organ dysfunction careFirst-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of ICU experienceMinimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/settingAdditional InformationMust commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)Scrubs of any color permitted except reddish orangeFacility-paid parking providedLocal candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius unless returning at a lower bill rateFormer permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facilityCandidates must disclose any prior employment history with a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or per-diem workHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
