Senior Accountant

Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with an established, privately held organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Crofton, MD.This is an opportunity to join a growing, multi-entity organization in a hands-on accounting role with broad exposure across the business. Reporting to the Controller, this position will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while working closely with finance leadership and operational teams across the organization. What You'll Be Doing Support accounting operations across a portfolio of entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information Manage cash flow activities, vendor payments, and banking transactions Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities Support customer billing, accounts receivable, collections, and commission calculations Assist with sales tax compliance, audits, and other accounting processes Work closely with finance leadership and operational teams across the organization What They're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software or ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus Experience with accounts receivable, banking platforms, or sales tax compliance is preferred Background in manufacturing, construction, distribution, or another operationally driven environment is a plus Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Chesapeake Search Partners
