QA Manual EngineerImmediate need for a talented QA Manual Engineer. This is a 12 Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Frisco, TX (Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:Under general direction, debugs complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.Develops, publishes and implements test plans.Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business systems and user needs.Consults with development staff in resolution of problems. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.Maintains documentation of test results and execution.Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.Relies on prior experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.May provide assistance for consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a valuable and knowledgeable contributor/specialist.Assists with development of quality assurance standards.Code, maintain and execute automated test scripts. May also be required to design automated test scripts based on the project.Assist with preparing reports and documentation updates.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Must have skills: Selenium, SQL, automation4 year degree required in a related field, such as computer science, business administration or engineering.Prior work or coursework in C, C or Java is required. Prior experience with JUnit is a plus.Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.Familiar with Windows, UNIX and/or Solaris environments.SQL skills are required.Prior experience with enterprise ERP systems is preferredPrior experience working in projects using Agile or Waterfall methodology, iteration and user stories is preferred.3-5 years of experience in directly applicable functional QA rolePrior experience in automated function testing using tool such as Selenium or equivalent is required.Prior experience with enterprise ERP systems (high-volume transaction processing) is preferredPrior experience working in projects using Agile or Waterfall methodology is preferredOur client is a leading IT Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
