In addition to our healthcare services, we offer comprehensive behavioral health services on the hospital campus and Bayview campus in Chula Vista. Services include psychiatric continuum of care for adult patients, inpatient services, and intensive outpatient services. Learn more at Responsibilities Treat patients and provide emotional support to patients and/or family members. Educate patients about mental and medical conditions. Run therapeutic groups and provide psychiatric crisis intervention. Seclude patients and implement restraint protocols. Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms. Assist in diagnostic tests and analyze results. Operate medical machinery and administer treatments and medications. Assist with patient follow‑up and rehabilitation. Teach patients and families how to manage illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, and self‑administration of medication and physical therapy. Perform other related duties as required. Education, Experience, Training Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintaining current certification. Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards. Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units. Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care. Work Schedule Part Time Nights. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or employment status (full‑time or part‑time). The compensation range for this role is $48.24 to $66.50 per hour. The starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering factors such as skill set, years of experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
