Job Title: Temporary Office Support Specialist
Location: Wheatland Workforce Center
Pay Rate: $18.56 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week (4 hours per day)
Duration: February 2026 – August 2026
Employment Type: Temporary

Position Overview

The Temporary Office Support Specialist provides front-office and administrative support at the Wheatland Workforce Center. This role supports staff and clients by assisting with phone coverage, client intake, and basic data and file management while ensuring a positive customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally and courteously

• Assist Unemployment Insurance (UI) clients by directing them to the UI phone system

• Help walk-in clients with HIREWYO registration and basic navigation

• File, organize, and shred documents according to retention policies

• Enter data and case notes accurately into internal systems

• Provide general clerical and administrative support

• Perform other duties as assigned to support office operations

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn office systems

• Ability to work with the public in a professional and respectful manner

• Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized records

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Dependable and able to work scheduled hours consistently

Work Environment

• Office-based, public-facing role

• Regular interaction with clients and center staff

Pay Details: $18.56 per hour
