Oncology

Our Oncology unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity?patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our leadership team fosters an environment that supports?learning, mentoring, and building every team member.?

Patient Population:?Majority of our patients are of medical, and we have a mixture of medical and surgical oncology patients and occasionally administer IV chemotherapy.

Patient Ratios : 1:4

Number of Beds: 16

Department Specifics: We are Commission on Cancer recognized hospital and a Sammons Cancer Center, which means that we provide a variety of care for patients that include the availability of Nurse Navigators, Child Life Specialists as well as a fully staffed Supportive and Palliative Care Team. In addition, we strive to get all our nurses' chemotherapy certified within the first 6 months of being an employee.?

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone who has completed an established program in Nursing.

• At least (2) two years in the field.

• Registered Nurse License.

• You must have Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.
