A field service technician with our company is responsible for helping our customers by installing, repairing, and maintaining mobility equipment. You are responsible for showing customers how to use their equipment.

The main duties and responsibilities of a field service technician are:

*troubleshooting equipment

*training the customer on how to use the equipment

*building relationships with customers

*contacting and scheduling appointment to visit customers

*obtaining referrals for new customers

*embracing company quality and service standards

*maintaining company personal appearance standards

*following company procedures

*maintaining company standard of excellence and ethics

*creating reports of customer service calls

*sales of additional new equipment or upgrading customers current equipment

*prior sales experience a plus but not required

*sourcing and ordering parts

*attend online supplier training

Skills needed:

*attention to detail

*critical thinking

*basic mechanical skills

*use of basic tools

*basic understanding and application of electronics

*basic understanding and use of a multimeter/ohm meter

A filed service technician should have experience in a similar role. A high School diploma or GED preferred. Must be highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication skills as a field technician will have to work independently at the customer's establishment or house.

Local travel required using company vehicle.

A field service technician could grow into a showroom sales or manager position or head field service technician.

You may be hired as an employee or 1099 contractor.
