Junior Art Director

We're looking for a methodical, customer-focused Junior Art Director who loves craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to grow under the direction of senior creatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1) Design brand-right communications for clients Produce polished design work that aligns with established brand guidelines, layouts, and creative direction. Translate brand standards into consistent deliverables across print and digital. Learn each client's visual system quickly and apply it with accuracy and care. 2) Support email marketing and CRM creative Design on-brand email layouts, modules, and supporting graphics (banners, headers, product callouts, etc.). Collaborate with strategy and account teams to ensure emails are clear, accurate, and optimized for performance. Prepare clean, organized design files for production and handoff. Assist in developing campaign creative across web, paid media, organic social, landing pages, and print/collateral. Maintain visual consistency across touchpoints while adapting designs for different formats and specs. Take feedback well and iterate quickly without sacrificing quality. 4) Create social and paid media assets Design scroll-stopping creative for Meta, Google Display, and other platforms - including simple motion and short-form video. Build variations for testing (sizes, messaging, formats) while staying on-brand. Stay current on design best practices and platform creative specs (less trend-chasing, more effectiveness and clarity). 5) Communicate clearly with the team and clients Work closely with account, strategy, and creative leads to hit deadlines and follow direction. Participate in reviews, ask smart questions, and communicate status proactively. Maintain professional polish in client-facing work and internal collaboration.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Brand discipline + craft: Strong design fundamentals - typography, layout, hierarchy, spacing, and color. Detail-driven production mindset: Files are organized, aligned, correctly versioned, and export-ready. Fast learner: Can absorb brand standards and creative direction, then execute accurately. Flexible designer: Comfortable working across a mix of clients, industries, and deliverable types. Clear communicator: Professional, collaborative, and responsive - especially under deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent portfolio). 1-4 years of experience in a design role (agency experience a plus). Level and compensation within the range depend on experience. Proficiency in Figma, Claude, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Simple motion graphics or short-form video skills (After Effects, Premiere, or CapCut) strongly preferred. Email/CRM platform familiarity is a plus (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.). Comfortable using AI-assisted design tools responsibly within a professional workflow.

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

$45,000-55,000 based on experience, with 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a flexible schedule. This role is built to grow - strong performers move toward mid-level Art Director responsibilities (and compensation) as they take on client ownership.

LOCATION AND WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, on-site position at our office in St. Louis, Missouri.
