Memorial Health Care Systems is proud to be recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital for 2026, and we are currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist.

This is a full-time, onsite position, working Monday through Friday with rotating holidays and on call.

Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in the hospital setting in accordance with physicians’ orders and departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessing patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Administering oxygen therapy and breathing treatments
• Managing ventilators and life-support equipment
• Performing diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function testing
• Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation
• Sleep scheduling, maintain records and home equipment set up management
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments as needed
• Assisting in emergency care situations involving breathing difficulties
• Educating patients on managing chronic respiratory conditions
• Knowledge of adult, pediatric and neonatal pulmonary care
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• Education/Experience:
  • Associate's degree in applied science or equivalent

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of respiratory therapy.

  • Current State Respiratory License

  • Maintain ACLS, NRP certifications
