Essential Functions:Materials HandlingAssist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.SafetyComplies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.Utilizes proper body mechanics when lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and gets assistance for lifts of greater than 50 pounds.Reports unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor.Maintains the cleanliness of their work areas.General/AdministrativeSupports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.Compiles and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.All other duties as requested by management.Qualifications:Formal Education and CertificationHigh school diplomaKnowledge and ExperienceSolid, dependable history of safe, consistent workExperience utilizing material handling equipment, such as forklifts and Combi-liftsWe seek to serve people first, and we operate according to a moral compass aimed at doing what is right even when it is hard.
