State Park Peace Officer (Ranger) (Pilot) This is a Peace Officer Position. To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer. If you are not a current peace officer and in possession of a POST – Academy, Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Certificate, you are not eligible for this position. The reporting location for this position is the Statewide Program Support Center, McClellan CA. This position works under the supervision of the Supervising Ranger or Superintendent II. The incumbent is responsible for Law Enforcement & Public Protection (primarily via Aircraft Patrol). This position is primarily assigned to Headquarters, but may be required to work in other park units with an emphasis on stewardship and operation of state park units with the goal of discouraging and preventing illegal cannabis cultivation, consistent with Revenue and Taxation Code 34019 (f)(2)(b). This position requires a Basic P.O.S.T. certificate a commercial pilot certificate for single engine airplane land with instrument rating. Please provide proof of eligibility with application.
