Position: NICU RN

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Contract Length: Open to 13-26 week range

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled NICU RN who is open to travel assignments. This position requires floating between units and entails providing care to neonatal patients. Strong clinical skills and competency are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to neonates in the NICU setting.
Monitor and manage critical care cases with a patient ratio of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3.
Administer medications and support therapies as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy.
Participate in patient and family education.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a NICU setting.
Certifications: BLS, NRPS.
Charting System Experience: Proficiency in Epic.
Other Skills:
- Administration of blood and blood products.
- Management of arterial lines and central lines.
- Expertise in high-frequency ventilation and neonatal care protocols.
- Knowledge of neonate pharmacology and dosage calculations.

Work Environment

Expect to float among various units within the facility, focusing on patients under the age of 2 in pediatric units. Weekend work is required and may be variable. Pre-approved time off and orientation hours will be communicated prior to your start date.
