Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit RN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Job Description

The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) provides critical care to a diverse range of neurological patients, including those with severe stroke, traumatic brain injury, and postoperative neurosurgical demands. This position requires exceptional clinical skills and experience in neurocritical care.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients with neurological conditions, including ICP, stroke, and seizures.
Perform ventilator management and titrations of sedatives and vasoactive drips.
Administer IV medications, blood products, and conduct ABG interpretation.
Caretake for ICP management and EVD procedures.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
Current RN license, preferably compact state compliant.
Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
Proficient in ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry.
