Retail Client Services Manager

Summary The Retail Client Services Manager is responsible for driving strong retail execution and serving as a key liaison between retail field teams, internal partners, and client stakeholders. This role ensures compliance to retail standards, supports strategic initiatives, and aligns execution, sales, and client priorities to deliver against business objectives. Drive retail execution by ensuring compliance across distribution, speed‑to‑shelf, pricing, planograms, displays, promotions, and point‑of‑sale placement. Identify and resolve in‑store execution issues; escalated barriers with clear, actionable insights. Develop and execute sales, promotional, and category growth strategies using data‑driven insights. Communicate execution status, audit results, and opportunities to clients, headquarters teams, and field leadership. Manage client account performance, budgets, and investment strategies to exceed business objectives. Responsibilities Ensure compliance in distribution, new item speed‑to‑shelf, pricing objectives, planogram conditions, display performance, promotion activity, and POS distribution. Work to resolve non‑compliance issues at retail where possible and clearly communicate unsolvable issues. Perform ride‑withs at all levels of the retail organization. Audit stores in assigned geography according to executable items, track and score retail audits, shipment opportunities, and report all competitive activity. Attend retail meetings to communicate client objectives, general retail trainings, market condition observations, and assist in sales training. Communicate progress on executables and tracking results, and share all opportunities to the headquarters team and client. Partner with BDM and appropriate Retail Managers to ensure all promotional activity is communicated to the retail team according to set retail standards and methods. Relate findings to headquarters team and client as deduced from retail and field contacts and retail meeting feedback. Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in retail management, client services, or a related field. Associate degree required. Strong retail execution, project management, and prioritization skills. Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and client‑specific applications. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience in applicable fields. 2+ years of supervisory experience. Basic computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet usage. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work effectively with management, direct, lead, coach, and develop people. Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically. Strong prioritization and team‑building skills. Understanding of complex demands of a decentralized organization and ability to meet challenging timelines. Strong functional experience in retail management and project management skills. Good interpersonal skills and supervision abilities, including delegating responsibility, training, and evaluating performance. Travel and/or Driving Requirements Travel and driving are essential duties. Travel up to 50% of the time. Environmental & Physical Requirements The job may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ of each work day standing, walking, bending, stooping, or climbing. May have exposure to dust and may require lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds up to 33%–66% of the time.
