The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU experience, strong clinical skills, and experience caring for complex adult patients. Stroke experience is required. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to IMCU patients. Monitor and assess patients with complex medical conditions. Manage patients requiring cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and post-operative care. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols. Monitor and manage specialty equipment, including chest tubes, arterial lines, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAP. Care for patients requiring chronic ventilator support in collaboration with respiratory therapy. Monitor patients with conditions including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, trauma, and CV stepdown needs. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Follow facility safety, infection control, and patient-care standards. Float to other units as required. Requirements Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience Stroke experience – Required Current AHA BLS – Required ACLS – Required NIHSS – Required Active New York RN license – Required All active RN licenses must be verified through NURSYS. Epic experience – Required Travel nursing experience required for travel candidates. Updated resume documenting relevant experience. Skills checklist matching the specialty. Driver’s license with address matching submitted demographics. RTO must be included at the time of submission.
