10-hour day shifts with night call
Call schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and weekends
7 on / 7 off rotation

EMR: EPIC
Support staff: Nurse, tech, social work
Daily patient volume: 20
2 MDs on unit (Medical Director onsite daily and one physician working 7 on / 7 off)
2 MHNPs working 7 on / 7 off
Number of beds: 26
Current census: 29 with 3 discharges noted
Average length of stay: 7 days
Average daily rounding volume: 13 patients
Average daily admissions: 1-3 patients
Average daily discharges: 1-3 patients
4-5 consults per day; 8-9 total including follow-up visits
Coverage includes unit, ER, and other floors
Adult patient population with occasional geriatric patients
Consults typically handled by phone unless there is an emergency
