Job Title: Construction Materials Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Materials Technician to support construction materials testing on projects across southern Ohio. The role involves performing tests and inspections on building materials such as concrete, soil, and aggregates to ensure they meet project specifications and codes. These activities will be conducted in the field on large construction sites. This position offers consistent hours year-round and is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a reputable firm.

• Perform a variety of testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing on materials such as soil, concrete, and others, providing assessment of data through reporting.
• Work utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Make detailed observations and offer limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Operate a calculator to compute mathematical test results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
• Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal and team safety.

• Construction materials testing experience
• ACI certification
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions
• Ability to work early mornings and overtime
• Driver's license and ability to travel locally

• High School diploma required
• Experience with construction documents and blueprints
• ACI certification preferred
• Familiarity with nuclear gauge and NICET certification
• Hardworking and eager to learn new skills

Work will be conducted on medium to large-sized construction projects around Cincinnati and southern Ohio. The majority of the tasks will be performed in the field on these construction sites, which may require working in various weather conditions. Overnight travel is rare but may be required. The position offers consistent hours throughout the year, with opportunities for overtime and potential pay increases as certifications are earned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
