Join our mission to help individuals living with mental illness and addiction lead healthy, productive lives. Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our integrated behavioral health and primary care services.

This position works Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (40 hours per week) in a clinic-based setting. The role supports both our Injection Clinic and Primary Care office, providing direct nursing care to individuals receiving behavioral health services.

Primary Care Office

Clinic-based position (no community visits or client transportation required)

Position Responsibilities

• Administer Long Acting Injectable (LAI) psychiatric medications
• Obtain and record vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care labs, and diagnostic testing
• Administer vaccinations and medications
• Prepare patients and assist physicians with examinations and treatments
• Draw and process laboratory specimens
• Provide medication education to clients, including medication purpose, dosage, side effects, and potential interactions
• Support patients in understanding the impact of substance use on medications and health
• Monitor medication adherence, refill schedules, and injection due dates
• Assess effectiveness of medications and identify side effects or complications
• Collaborate with the care team to promote holistic healthcare
• Document medical information including allergies, medical history, and medication interactions

Requirements

• Active licensure by the Ohio Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training
