Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Telemetry for an upcoming contract position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic and spine care, along with the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry setting.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.
Monitor patient vital signs, interpret telemetry readings, and respond to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
Participate in unit orientation and training programs.
Float to all acute care units as necessary based on patient care needs.

Schedule Details

Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 1900 to 0730.
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, with a requirement to work every other weekend.
Holiday Responsibilities: Must be available to work on Christmas Eve or Day and New Year's Eve or Day based on unit needs.

Qualifications

Must possess a current Kansas RN or Compact RN License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in a hospital setting, specifically in orthopedic and spine care.
New graduates will not be considered for this position.

Orientation and Training

Orientation will include a combination of in-person and virtual training days, covering essential topics and systems, including Epic EMR training.

Additional Information

This is a nicotine-free facility. Adherence to facility policies and protocols is expected, including floating across various acute care units as required.
