Back Production Worker Location: Saxonburg, Pennsylvania Contract: 12‑month (potential long‑term) Job Overview We are searching for assemblers (clean room), machine operators, and material handlers to support small material manufacturing and production. Compensation Assemblers 6am‑6pm: $16/hr. Machine Operator 6am‑6pm: $19/hr. Machine Operator 6pm‑6am: $21/hr. Material handler 6pm‑6am: $21/hr. Pre‑Sterile Operator 6pm‑6am: $18/hr. Responsibilities Manufacturing production specialist involved in all facets of small material manufacturing and production. Indoor material processing and packaging, including receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, or warehousing seed work. Preventive maintenance of equipment, ensuring operations process and procedures are followed. Electronic data collection in laboratory settings using PC and handheld data collection devices. Transporting small materials to appropriate work centers. Possibly bending and lifting up to 50 lbs, and spending long periods sitting or standing. Potential extended hours during peak seasons. Adhere to all client SOPs and support site safety and regulatory compliance requirements. Assembler (Clean Room) Responsibilities Assemble various products and packaging. Perform rework and inspection on products. Assist higher‑level positions. Identify defects in products and maintain quality standards. Record data related to product quality and traceability. Clean work areas as required and complete associated paperwork. Use basic math skills, read instructions, demonstrate good hand‑eye coordination. Communicate effectively and adapt to fast‑paced changing situations. Show sound judgment, continuous improvement, customer focus, adaptability, and teamwork. Pre‑Sterile Operator Responsibilities Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), good manufacturing practices (GMP), traceability and material review board (MRB). Work independently with little direction on day‑to‑day decisions. Perform automated testing techniques and requirements. Utilize applicable terminology in communication and interact professionally with lead, supervisor, and coworkers. Support production or quality control inspections in the manufacturing areas. Work with production supervisor and/or engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvements. Pay attention to detail and understand continuous improvement/lean initiatives. Test product as required, perform quality control measurements and functions. Support new product builds. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical ability and understanding of equipment maintenance, ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment. Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems. 1–3 years of experience in relevant roles. Basic reading skills, entry‑level math skills, good hand‑eye coordination, communication skills, adaptability, teamwork skills, and sound judgment.
