Registered Nurse Clinical Support Coordinator

St. David's Medical Center, part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Support Coordinator to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within our state-of-the-art Neurological unit in {JOB-CITY}, {JOB-STATE}. In this role, you will blend direct patient care with clinical coordination responsibilities, supporting a high-acuity patient population with complex neurological conditions while helping drive consistency, quality, and safety across the unit.

As the Registered Nurse Clinical Support Coordinator, you will provide expert, patient-centered nursing care, perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor neurological status using evidence-based protocols. You will coordinate multidisciplinary care among physicians, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff, ensuring clear communication, timely interventions, and smooth transitions of care from admission through discharge. You will serve as a clinical resource for bedside nurses, offering guidance on neurological assessments, post-operative care, stroke pathways, seizure management, and the use of specialized equipment and monitoring technologies.

You will play a key role in supporting clinical workflows and patient flow on the unit, including assisting with bed assignment prioritization, facilitating patient handoffs, and helping manage throughput while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion. The role also involves participating in quality improvement initiatives, tracking unit-based clinical indicators, supporting compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and reinforcing best practices related to infection prevention, falls reduction, pressure injury prevention, and patient education.
