Job Opportunity: Emergency Medicine Physician

Our organization is looking for a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team serving critical access hospitals. This position provides a unique chance to deliver exceptional emergency care in a rural environment, where your skills will significantly benefit patients, families, and the communities we support.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with urgent and emergent medical issues in the emergency department.
Collaborate with a team-oriented approach to ensure high-quality patient care.
Adapt to the dynamic needs of a critical access setting.
Supervise advanced practice clinicians as part of the medical staff.
Engage in outreach services as required by the organization.
Participate in teaching and mentoring students, residents, fellows, and clinical staff, aligning with our commitment to medical education.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program.
Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
Ability to obtain a medical license to practice in our multi-state region without restrictions.
Experience in emergency medicine, rural healthcare, or critical access hospitals is advantageous.

West Union, IA - Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital & Clinics
Wabasha, MN - Gundersen St. Elizabeth's Hospital & Clinics
Hillsboro, WI - Gundersen St. Joseph's Hospital & Clinics
Whitehall, WI - Gundersen Tri-County Hospital & Clinics

Physicians have the flexibility to practice across these locations, with the option to work at some or all sites based on personal scheduling preferences and organizational requirements. Shifts typically range from 12 to 24 hours in rural emergency departments.
