Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to provide specialized perioperative patient care in a busy surgical unit. This role involves preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care for surgical patients, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures to ensure patient stability.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure sterile technique and infection control protocols are followed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with facility standards.
• Participate in ongoing training, including PALS and ACLS certifications.
• Adhere to all safety policies, including travel compliance and facility-specific regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience.
• Hold a current Ohio or Compact RN license in hand at the time of application.
• Demonstrate Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training completed upon arrival.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Have recent references from a supervisor or manager in the surgical specialty.
