Human Resources Business Partner

StaffBright is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support a dynamic operation in the Muskegon, MI area. This contract role offers an immediate impact across recruiting, employee relations, labor relations, payroll support, and day-to-day HR operations. It is a contract role with the potential to transition to a direct-hire role based on business needs and performance. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trust with employees and leadership alike.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
• Partner with leadership and employees on employee relations and labor relations matters
• Assist with HR generalist functions including policy interpretation, employee support, and compliance initiatives
• Provide payroll support and help ensure accurate and timely processing
• Collaborate across departments to support workforce planning and operational HR needs

What We Need From You

• Previous experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
• Strong working knowledge of employee relations and recruiting practices
• Experience supporting payroll processes and HR administration
• Ability to navigate sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or operational environment

All-Star Skillset

• Experience supporting union or labor relations environments
• HRIS or payroll system experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
• HR certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP
• Experience supporting multi-site operations
