Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift - 13 Weeks

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) ensures the delivery of quality care by following the nursing care plan. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, promoting patient and employee safety, and adhering to hospital guidelines. The RN will perform crucial nursing assessments, contribute to patient rehabilitation programs, and provide necessary education and discharge planning for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and prioritize education for patients and their families.
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission.
• Ensure effective communication regarding changes in patient status across care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, promoting safety protocols.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics and unit functionality.
• Maintain effective communication with management regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested and engage in professional growth opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift.
• ACLS Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum Two (2) Years Bedside Clinical Experience Required.
• Active RN License in the applicable state preferred.
• Recent ICU Experience is highly desired.
