Summer Swim Team Head Coach

Head Coach Location: The Medfield Sharks (located conveniently right off of I-40 between Raleigh and Cary) are seeking an enthusiastic, organized individual proficient in stroke mechanics, with the ability to motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels, and strong communication skills with parents and swimmers. The Sharks are a 100+ swimmer TSA South League team with members ages 4 to 18, run by an enthusiastic and supportive group of parent volunteers. Duties include, but are not limited to, day‑to‑day team management, development and supervision of age‑appropriate workouts, assisting in preparing heat sheets, attending swim team planning/parent meetings, and mentoring assistant coaches. The ideal candidate will have prior swim team coaching experience, competitive swim team experience, and be proficient in preparing for meets. Knowledge of TSA rules and regulations, as well as Swimtopia and Meet Central app/software, is helpful. The position is part‑time from mid‑May through the third or fourth week of July. Coaches must be available weekday mornings and later‑afternoons/evenings for practices, Tuesday nights for swim meets, and one Saturday or Sunday at the end of the season for TSA Champs.
