Data Analytics Engineer

Systems Planning and Analysis is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to support the U.S. Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM) Strategic Initiatives Group (SIG) with data analytics and engineering efforts in Indianapolis. Responsibilities Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for analytics initiatives Perform feasibility studies and provide recommendations for analytics solution approaches Design scalable and maintainable analytics solutions Create technical specifications and data models Extract data from source systems including DJMS and IPPS-A (and related sources) Load data into Databricks warehouse and perform data cleaning for analysis Build custom datasets to support dashboard requirements Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Execute unit testing , integration testing , and user acceptance testing (UAT) Deploy solutions into production environments and verify successful implementation Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed solutions Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner Implement enhancements and updates as needed Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including business requirements, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, design documents, and deployment/implementation plans Create and maintain user guides and training materials for end-users Requirements Located in Indianapolis, IN Role requires on-site presence M-F Active Secret security clearance Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field 3+ years of experience in Power Platform development (Apps, Automate, BI) 3+ years of experience with SQL 3+ years of experience with Python Experience with Databricks (Data Intelligence Platforms) Experience with Army Vantage Skills in data cleansing , data preparation , and data translation Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail , with strong verbal and written communication Ability to handle delegated tasks and development Experience supporting DoD stakeholders and leadership Technologies Power Platform, Power BI, Apps, Automate, BI SQL, Python Databricks (Data Intelligence Platforms)
