Interstate Utility Trailer is seeking an experienced Trailer Fabricator / Certified Welder to start up our brand new Columbus shop. We've been in business for almost 50 years and excited to be expanding in the Columbus OH area. Interstate Utility Trailer is a full-service semi-trailer dealership specializing in semi-trailer sales and trailer maintenance and repair. We are ready to pay top dollar for experienced shop mechanics. Responsibilities for a Trailer Fabricator / Welder:
- Fabricate and weld metal trailer parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate power tools
- Use measuring tools
- Perform welding techniques to join trailer parts
Qualifications for a Fabricator / Welder:
- Certified
- Knowledgeable of fabrication and welding codes
- Ability to read blueprints
- Attention to detail and ability
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, stooping/kneeling for extended amounts of time.
- Reaching with arms and hands
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work independently
