RN ER Nights

HOURS: Nights shift 7P-7A weekend rotation, every 3 weeks, and 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday
SETTING: Hospital 
SUMMARY:
Educates the patient, family, and significant other(s) about measures that promote, maintain, and restore health or promote comfort;
Sterilizing tools and the room;
Helping the physician in various procedures while monitoring the patient’s vitals;
Informing patients and their families before, during and after surgeries;
Prepping the operating room and make sure safety precautions are followed;
Performs other duties as assigned.

DUTIES:
assessing patient needs.
Treating critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma.
Performing minor medical operations.
Cleaning wounds.
Drawing blood.
Maintaining emergency room care standards.
Assisting with insurance paperwork.
Ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process.
Displaying strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.
QUALIFICATION : 
N.Y.S. Nursing License, Current N.Y.S. Registration. BSN preferred. Minimum 1 year acute care RN experience required. BLS required. ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire. Successful completion of critical care and dysrythmia modules within six months of hire.Previous Experience in Trauma setting preferred.
