Communications Specialist II

Our client is seeking a Communications & Executive Engagement Specialist to support senior leadership communications, enterprise-wide events, and strategic engagement initiatives. This role sits within a Corporate Communications function and combines executive communications, project coordination, and operational support to help ensure leadership meetings and enterprise events are executed seamlessly. Writing samples demonstrating executive-level communications experience are required for consideration. If contacted to move forward in process, please have this prepared. Rate: $25-$30/hr W-2 Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. Key Responsibilities Develop and support leadership meeting and event materials, including agendas, presentations, talking points, briefing documents, and logistical communications. Coordinate preparation activities for senior leadership meetings and enterprise-wide events, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and presenters are fully prepared. Track project timelines, key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure successful execution. Ensure strategic priorities and key messages are consistently reflected across leadership communications and event materials. Support cross-functional communications alignment by maintaining visibility into upcoming initiatives and messaging priorities. Partner with event services, IT/AV, security, and other internal teams to support meeting logistics and technology needs. Maintain planning tools, content repositories, editorial calendars, and communication resources. Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and expense reconciliation activities. Conduct research and compile background materials to support leadership messaging and strategic communications. Support the testing and implementation of AI-enabled tools and process improvements related to communications and operational workflows. Provide onsite or virtual support during leadership meetings and enterprise events as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in communications, executive communications, project coordination, events, or corporate operations. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create executive-level communications. Experience supporting senior leadership meetings, corporate events, or large-scale organizational initiatives. Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting executive leadership teams or corporate communications functions. Administrative, budgeting, or financial tracking experience. Familiarity with collaboration and planning tools such as Airtable or similar platforms. Interest in AI tools, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives. Experience coordinating enterprise-wide meetings, town halls, or recognition events. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
