Survey Technician

Survey TechnicianWe are hiring for a Survey Technician to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Princeton, NJ. The Survey Technician supports the land surveying team by processing incoming data and producing final project deliverables. In this entry-level role, you will provide office production support across survey activities and assist both office and field staff under the direction of the Senior Survey Project Manager.Primary Responsibilities:Process survey data using Trimble Business Center and current CAD standards; evaluate accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable professional standards under the direction of your supervisor and a licensed professionalMonitor field crew production and provide quality assurance supportResearch historical maps, land records, prior surveys, and title reportsPrepare cadastral maps, existing-conditions plans, and plats from field and office data using AutoCAD Civil 3DPerform initial quality control of field deliverables in accordance with standards and best practicesCoordinate with your supervisor to ensure client-specific requirements are metAssist as a field technician, as needed, to complete survey fieldworkMaintain professional, productive working relationships with clients and coworkersFollow established safety and security proceduresBasic Requirements:High School Diploma or higherPreferred Attributes:Prior experience in land surveying, consulting, or the construction industry preferredAbility and willingness to learn survey operations, principles, and practicesWorking knowledge of engineering plans and construction documentsUnderstanding of office workflow processes and problem-solving techniquesStrong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD or similar applications are a plusProficiency in technical math, geometry, and trigonometryBasic oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookTARGET HOURLY RANGE: $20 - $40 (per year)Contributing to the health and well-being of team members is a top priority for Pennoni; therefore, we designed our benefits package to exceed industry norms while providing our team members with exceptionally competitive and comprehensive benefits.
