PURCHASING AGENT

Purchasing Agent

Rooms To Go is looking for a Purchasing Agent to support purchasing activities across our network of more than 200 stores and 10 distribution centers. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this position is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and coordinating the timely delivery of orders.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple vendors and internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs, evaluate pricing and supplier options, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain relationships with multiple suppliers and vendors.
• Research and compare suppliers, goods, services, pricing, and delivery options.
• Evaluate suppliers based on reliability, product quality, service, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing needs.
• Request and evaluate quotes and cost proposals and establish pricing commitments.
• Create, submit, and process purchase orders.
• Track open orders and coordinate shipment and delivery schedules.
• Verify deliveries and assist in resolving order, pricing, or delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, transactions, receipts, and supplier information.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure purchasing needs are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
