Full Time Professional TAMPA, FL, US 15 days ago Requisition ID: 1034 Position Summary The Data Layer Engineer supports mission-critical objectives under the referenced work order by designing, implementing, and optimizing data transformation workflows for geospatial and non-geospatial datasets. This role manages ETL processes, data structuring, and schema management with expertise in ESRI geospatial data layers and cloud-based geospatial services. This future opportunity is contingent upon award. Job Description The Data Layer Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing ETL processes, data structuring, and schema management. The position requires working with ESRI geospatial data layers, ArcGIS Enterprise, and cloud-based geospatial services. Engineers will implement data governance frameworks and metadata/data cataloging solutions. The role includes ensuring compliance with DoD and IC data security policies. Required Qualifications and Experience The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field; or A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in data governance. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas: Developing and managing data governance frameworks. Implementing metadata and data cataloging solutions. Ensuring compliance with DoD and IC data security policies. Working with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue, or Azure Purview. Managing ESRI geospatial data layers and Kubernetes-hosted geospatial applications. Required Skills and Competencies Expertise in ETL processes, data structuring, and schema management. Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, NoSQL databases. Proficiency in cloud storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage). Strong understanding of Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, AWS Glue, and Azure Purview. Ability to manage ESRI geospatial data layers and cloud-based geospatial services. Education Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
