Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth patient evaluations, including thorough physical examinations and reviews of medical histories
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through competent interpretation of imaging studies and lab results
• Collaborate closely with surgeons to formulate and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide intraoperative assistance, preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and securely handing off surgical instruments during procedures
• Deliver exceptional pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge strategies, and patient education

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Experience in clinical rotations with a surgical focus is strongly preferred

Certification Requirements

• Maintaining a current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification is mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills Required

• Extensive knowledge of surgical principles and sterile techniques
