• We are partnering with a well-established ophthalmology practice in Chicago seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their clinical team. This role focuses on diabetic eye exams and routine ophthalmic evaluations , including medical clearance exams for surgical procedures. No prior ophthalmology experience is required — comprehensive training will be provided.

  Position Highlights

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule

  • No weekends

  • Standard clinic hours

  • Collaborative ophthalmology setting

  • Training provided for ophthalmic-specific skills

  • Other available locations : schaumburg, Albany, oakbrook Terrace, Buffalo Grove, Oak lawn. 

  Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform diabetic eye examinations

  • Conduct standard eye evaluations and pre-surgical clearances

  • Review patient history and coordinate care with ophthalmologists

  • Provide patient education and follow-up care

  Compensation & Benefits

  • $65–$70 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

  Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Illinois NP or PA license

  • Certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology , or a related field

  • Comfortable working in an outpatient clinical setting

  • Strong communication and patient care skills
