*skillsJob Overview* The Physician Assistant (PA-C) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in collaboration with cardiologists and the healthcare team. This role includes evaluating patients, diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and educating patients on heart health and disease prevention. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced cardiology practice. *Responsibilities* * *Key Responsibilities* * Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations. * Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions under physician supervision. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. * Order, interpret, and discuss diagnostic studies, including EKGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, laboratory work, and cardiac imaging. * Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols. * Perform follow-up visits and monitor patient progress. * Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care. * Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. * Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR). * Assist with hospital rounds or procedures, if applicable. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies. *Skills* * Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills * Knowledge of cardiovascular diseases and treatment plans * Ability to interpret EKGs, laboratory results, and cardiac diagnostic testing * Excellent patient assessment and physical examination skills * Medication management and prescribing knowledge * Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) proficiency * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment * Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care * Strong organizational and time management skills * Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical staff * Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation * Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) * Ability to educate patients and families on cardiovascular health and treatment plans Pay: $100,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year Work Location: In person by Jobble
