Marketing Manager

To capitalize on this incredible growth and to achieve Visit Salt Lake’s ambitious vision, we’re seeking a collaborative, organized and results-driven Marketing Manager to help execute integrated marketing efforts that drive awareness, engagement and visitation to Salt Lake. This role will lead Visit Salt Lake’s email and lifecycle marketing program, while also supporting marketing strategy, campaign planning and execution across channels. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with strong ownership, organization and follow-through. They can manage multiple initiatives, collaborate across teams and use performance insights to continuously improve the work. Primary Responsibilities Email & Lifecycle Marketing Own the planning and execution of Visit Salt Lake’s consumer email marketing program. Develop email calendars aligned with campaigns, seasonal priorities and organizational initiatives. Build, test and deploy email campaigns and automated journeys. Develop audience segmentation, personalization and lifecycle strategies. Partner with content and creative teams on messaging and assets. Monitor subscriber growth, engagement, deliverability and list health. Test and optimize subject lines, creative, messaging, calls-to-action, segmentation and timing. Analyze performance and recommend improvements. Campaign Management & Execution Manage assigned marketing campaigns and workstreams from planning through launch and reporting. Help translate marketing strategies into actionable campaign plans, deliverables and channel requirements. Support the development of campaign briefs, audiences, messaging and channel recommendations. Coordinate with creative, content, social, web, paid media, communications and other teams to ensure cohesive execution. Work closely with the Marketing Project Manager on timelines, dependencies and approvals. Coordinate with agencies, vendors and external partners as needed. Proactively identify campaign gaps, risks and opportunities. Support initiatives across leisure tourism, meetings and conventions, Sports Salt Lake, travel trade and partnerships. Support Senior Website Manager on web content, updates and landing page creation. Strategy, Measurement & Optimization Contribute to annual, seasonal and campaign marketing planning. Proactively bring recommendations and ideas forward to the team. Establish and track KPIs for assigned initiatives. Help improve marketing processes, standards and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 3–5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in digital, email, consumer or integrated marketing. Hands-on experience with email marketing or marketing automation platforms; Act-On or similar platform experience is a plus. Experience executing and measuring multichannel marketing campaigns. Strong understanding of email marketing, audience segmentation and digital marketing fundamentals. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong writing, communication and collaboration skills. Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as GA4 is preferred. Experience working in an agency environment and/or managing agency partners is preferred. Tourism, hospitality, destination marketing, outdoor, lifestyle or consumer brand experience is a plus. Working Relationships The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to turn marketing priorities into coordinated, measurable campaigns and deliverables.
