Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 12-month contract, very strong chance of extension

Position Summary

Planning, connecting, designing, scheduling, and deploying data warehouse systems. Develops, monitors, and maintains ETL processes, reporting applications, and data warehouse design.

Duties:

• Performs design and implementation of IT systems that require the integration of diverse and complex components. Activities include creating a problem statement, defining operational requirements including integration with other systems or components, researching and modeling the system architecture and configuration, investigation alternatives and decision analysis.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements, identity management, access management, and automation.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results.

Requirements:

• Strong experience developing data warehouse solutions in the cloud (AWS/Azure).
• Hands on experience in data modeling and design, data flow diagrams, data warehousing and BI applications and analytical reporting tools and technique.
• Strong experience developing ETL solutions in support of data warehouse systems - ODI, Informatica, DataStage or SSIS.
• Extensive experience developing solutions using Spark/PySpark, Python, and AWS services such as Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Oracle RDS and S3.
• Experience in Oracle PL/SQL and performance tuning of data warehouse and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in design, development and deployment of dashboards, visualization and reporting using Power BI or Tableau reporting platforms.
• AWS certified.

Desired Skills:

• Mastery of analytical and verbal skills.
• A highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:

• Bachelors and seven (7) years or more experience, - OR –
• Masters and five (5) years or more experience, and
• Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI)
