Benefits Making NexGen Products – Cooling the World’s Ever Expanding Data Centers Air‑conditioned work environment Benefits start day one 401(k) match First year, 4 weeks’ vacation (accrued) Health, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, FSA, HAS and 401(k) Plan with company contributions Nortek Air Management and its divisions offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package Responsibilities Works with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to develop product requirements based on customer needs Analyzes systems using a variety of engineering tools including, but not limited to, FEA, analytical formulas, benchmark designs, etc. Runs through sizing and optimization exercises for pumps, fans, coils, valves, and flow control devices Is familiar with piping layouts, design, and material selection, including, but not limited to, PVC, Stainless Steel, Copper, HDPE, etc. Uses DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA tools to improve the quality and reliability of designs Develops Bills of Materials (BOMs) Ensures that full and accurate documentation is produced for the designs that are moving into commercialization Works with operations to design solutions that are integrated into the current manufacturing capabilities Develops advanced designs in conjunction with operations to produce high‑quality designs that are value‑based Works with sales and service to improve current designs and incorporates future needs into the existing platform Acts as an example and mentor to more junior mechanical engineers Other duties as assigned by the manager Qualifications BSME from an accredited university, or applicable engineering work experience 3–5 years of engineering work experience, HVAC preferred CFD, computational fluid dynamics experience preferred Self‑starter and must be able to work cross‑functionally Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred: P.E certification a plus MSME is a plus SolidWorks, DraftSight, AutoCAD, Revit skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
