Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with clients experiencing major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, providing assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy (individual, group, and family therapy).

  • Build rapport with clients by establishing trust and conducting thorough needs assessments to guide your interventions.

  • Participate actively as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to team goals through collaboration and shared clinical insights.

  • Implement evidence-based practices while ensuring compliance with professional ethical guidelines and organizational policies.

  • Create and implement integrated care plans that connect clients with necessary services, facilitating communication between clients, their families, and other healthcare providers.

  • Maintain and document client progress, ensuring that treatment plans focus on individual needs and progress toward recovery goals.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks to client safety.

  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities during and after program hours as assigned, ensuring that clients have access to assistance when needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse population primarily consisting of individuals facing substance use disorders alongside mental health challenges. Understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client will be essential to delivering culturally competent care. Your ability to navigate various traditions, beliefs, and interpersonal dynamics will enhance the therapeutic relationship and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field, accompanied by an active LCSW license in the state of California. In addition, you should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with demonstrated organizational and planning abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of clinical experience, especially those who have worked in substance use treatment or mental health settings. Experience facilitating individual and group therapies, along with crisis management and risk assessment skills, will be highly advantageous.
