Job Summary
Weis Fire & Safety Equipment, a manufacturer of wildland fire apparatus, is looking for an Apparatus Technician to join our Apparatus Division. You'll assemble truck components and mount equipment using basic plumbing, electrical, and hand/power tool skills. We'll train you on our specific builds — we're looking for someone reliable, self-motivated, and mechanically inclined.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble truck components and mount equipment on apparatus
• Perform basic plumbing and basic electrical work
• Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment correctly and safely
• Adapt to a variety of daily tasks across the build process
• Stay detail-oriented and follow quality and safety standards on every build
Qualifications
• Good mechanical skills and comfort working with hand and power tools
• Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Able to adapt to different tasks and priorities as builds require
• Prior assembly, automotive, or mechanical experience is helpful but not required — we train on our equipment
Compensation & Benefits
• Pay range: $17.00 – $26.00 / hour

• On-site in Salina, Kansas
• Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
