Production Operator - Manufacturing

Production Operator I IThe Production Operator I I is responsible for tasks involving physical labor in a manufacturing plant and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. The Production Operator will be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures following all safety protocols and workplace policies to ensure profitable business operations.Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsAssemble circuits requiring fine hand assemblyCheck final assembly for finish, labelling and packaging methodsCheck mechanical dimensions and perform go-no-go electrical testsIdentify and mark acceptable and defective assembliesPerform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systemsCollect, record, and summarize inspection resultsComplete manual assembly, cleaning, testing, inspection work as per work instructionsPrepare and sort material as per work instruction, load/unload material onto machine or manual workstationsConnect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installationsOperate and tend automated assembling equipment such as robotic and fixed automation equipmentConduct cosmetic, functional inspection as per work instruction, Mark, record, and report defectsClean and perform preparation of worksite, workstation, and machinesWork with equipment operators to facilitate machine alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery equipment, and materialsCompletion of other duties and projects as assignedEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business ConductAdhere to all health and safety rules and proceduresMinimum Qualifications:Able to work a Continental S hift (12 hour shift 6pm – 6am)High School Diploma or equivalent certificate2-4 years experience (manufacturing/production experience)Strong communication skillsDemonstrated attention to quality and detailAble to perform repetitive tasks, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor activitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualification:Previous experience as a General Labourer in a manufacturing environment an assetExisting knowledge of Workplace Safety, First Aid and CPR preferredAbility to communicate effectively in both English and MandarinCompensation and Benefits:CS Powertech Jeffersonville PV Cells Manufacturing offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement.
