Accounting Analyst

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Purchase all supplies for the Health Center network, including office, medical, maintenance and furniture. Maintain inventory supplies in-house at designated locations. Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, receipts and invoices with vendors. Manage vendors, negotiate rates and obtain bids when necessary. Track and control inventory levels for all supplies within FundEZ and on spreadsheets. Alert the Budget and Finance Manager and or Nurse Manager when supplies are low. Ensure purchases are aligned with budgetary constraints, company, Federal and State/City policies, and quality standards with all necessary documentation. Prepare purchase orders through FundEZ. Prepare reports for management. Develop and implement process improvement purchasing through best practice to enhance efficiency within the management. Record all invoices in the accounting system in a manner that allows for easy management reports and group vouchering. Ensure all supporting documents are securely filed for easy access when necessary. Prepare quarterly vouchers for the CFO's review, approval and submission to DASNY. Track all payments from the State, verify accuracy, review and discuss disallowances, if any Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor or designee. Requirements HS diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred; Demonstrated Account Payable experience and or a working knowledge of accounting; 1+ years of previous experience in community healthcare or healthcare insurance environment preferred; Must possess strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy; Must able to handle multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines; Must have a pleasant telephone manner and tactfulness when dealing with people; Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and preferred knowledge of Microsoft Access); Should be mission driven and be able to function as a team player; Knowledge of FundEZ Accounting Software. Summary Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of purchasing for the Health Center and track and record all invoices and documents for special projects in compliance with financial policies and regulations of the NYS Department of Health (DOH), the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), Betances Health Center and other special projects funding sources. #J-18808-Ljbffr Betances Health Center
