Project Engineer PositionMidwest Steel's subsidiary, Indiana Bridge, Inc., is an AISC-Certified Structural Steel Fabricator and a recognized leader in the Automated Storage/Retrieval System and Rack industry. With a 100+ year history of success and stability, and a true focus on safety and quality, Indiana Bridge, Inc. has built a reputation as one of the top steel fabricators and erectors in a variety of markets. Located in Muncie, Indiana, our team works closely together to help fabricate steel for a variety of high-profile and complex projects.Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our expanding team and oversee a variety projects. This role is responsible for supporting the safety, profitability, and quality of each project from start to finish. The Project Engineer will be involved in project planning, change order management, subcontractor coordination, managing project schedules, and maintaining project controls such as safety forms, work plans, submittals, and RFI's.The Project Engineer also will collaborate with professionals across the organization to ensure seamless project execution, managing schedules, budgets, and client expectations. In addition, The Project Engineer will assist with preconstruction efforts including take-offs, estimates, proposals, and pricing.Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Construction Project EngineerBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field2 years of experience in the engineering or construction field. Relevant internship experience will also be considered.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft ExcelWorking knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, and other software systems is preferredCreative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivationExcellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individualsThis is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary, full benefit package, paid time off, long-term stability, and a strong Company culture.
